Jowar Bundt Cake – The story of Sonal Shet

Sonal Shet is a healthy homebaker in Bangalore who might be new in this area but she experiments with passion and curiosity to make the best out of what she has available at home on a given day!
She researches more on gluten free cooking or baking as she is gluten intolerant. Like every mother, she wants to give her little son healthy food to munch on at home. This motivates her to learn more about this craft and get better at it. Sonal is a passionate healthy food cook who loves to have veggies, protein like Daal, millets, on her plate everyday! She eats fresh, healthy and motivates her family to do the same for a better lifestyle. Her son, too, loves to have the healthy cookies or cakes that she makes at home, which are anyday better than the cream cakes available in the market.

Her gluten intolerance has made her venture into learning about millets even more. How to cook or bake with them is an everyday experiment in her kitchen! Millets are full of nutrition, goodness, fibre and of course, health, in abundance!

When we approached her for the video shoot, she agreed to show us a recipe of a Gluten Free Bake, that she bakes regularly and was confident to make it for the video ! The video shoot at Sonal’s place is probably the longest we have traveled as she stays 45kms from our residence! But, the experience was absolutely worth it! We were touched and humbled with their warm welcome and the kind gesture of keeping amazing lunch prepared for us!
