The festival of colors is round the corner which means it is time to cook or bake delicacies at home! I am always excited about festivals because it comes with a lot of food! While contemplating on the special Holi recipe, I made some homemade Thandai powder which was lying around. I knew I had to use it in a bake and what's quicker/better than homemade cookies! That's when I wore my baking gloves and started making these Holi special cookies. They are crunchy, easy to bake and have a festive feel that you need to try! For baking these, you need to have the homemade Thandai powder ready and here is how you can do so: In a mixer, grind the following ingredients to a fine powder: 10-12 chopped almonds 6-8 cashew nuts 100gms brown sugar 2 pieces of green cardomom 2 tbsp melon seeds 2 tbsp

Cupcakes are an absolute delight when it comes to satisfying my sweet tooth and I have loved having them for a long time. However, whenever I would get a craving for cupcakes, I would resort to ordering some from bakeries and that stopped during the lockdown. I decided to give them a try at home with a healthier twist and they turned out really well! I made them for my family friend and she loved having each bite! So did we. Since then, I started baking healthy cupcakes on my own at home and have stopped ordering any from bakeries. Welcome back to another blog on Rasoisaga. Writing this recipe after a long break and excited to share this healthy bake with my readers. This is a mini cake recipe that I tried after my Dad was diagnosed with high levels of sugar. He used to have sweet cravings after every meal, much like each one of us, but he could not consume any dessert from stores. The store bought ones, are filled with sugar, cream, maida, additives and lots of elements that make it taste and look the way it does. We had to avoid that for him and bake something that would be healthy and delicious at the same time. Then, this recipe was born and it became an instant hit at home! It is stevia (plant based sweetner) based, does not contain any maida, additives or cream.
