15 minute Eggless Sooji Cake (without oven)

Mrs. Vandana Parulkar is an expert homechef, who has been developing recipes and cooking since more than 2 decades! A goan at heart, residing in the city of Bengaluru, she tries out the traditional Goan recipes at home, that were passed on to her from her mother and aunt. One such recipe was the Eggless Sooji Cake, that used to be made often at her home, because of it’s taste and simplicity. She demonstrates the same as one of the recipes for the video shoot on our Youtube channel. You can make this easily at home to satisfy your dessert cravings. Here is how to make it:

INGREDIENTS:

2 Cups Chiroti Rava

1 Cup Ghee

2 Cups Sugar

1 tsp Baking powder

1 tsp Vanilla Essence

2 Cups Curd

METHOD:

  1. Take a vessel, add the Sooji in it with sugar and ghee. Mix this well.
  2. Add the curd here and mix
  3. Add Baking powder and start whisking
  4. Add Vanilla Essence
  5. Whisk well to avoid any lumps
  6. Put this on the gas at a low flame for 15-20 Minutes.
  7. Check after sometime and scoop out the cake!

Slice and enjoy with friends and family!
